Hat Care Guide
How to Pack Your Chloe Alexis Packable Hat
Our packable hats are designed for the modern traveler, lightweight, durable, and easy to pack. Follow these steps to ensure your hat stays in shape during your adventures:
1. Ensure the Hat is Dry
Before packing, make sure your hat is completely dry. Packing a damp hat can cause it to lose its shape or develop mildew.
2. Fold the Hat Carefully
• Lengthwise Fold: Gently fold the hat in half along the crown’s dorsal line. This method minimizes pressure on the brim and crown.
• Avoid Over-Folding: Do not fold the hat multiple times, as this can cause permanent creases.
3. Roll the Hat
• Soft Roll: Starting from one edge, carefully roll the hat into a compact shape. This technique is ideal for hats made from flexible materials like straw or fabric.
• Use a Protective Pouch: Place the rolled hat into a soft pouch or wrap it in a cloth to protect it from pressure and moisture.
4. Pack with Care
• Strategic Placement: Place the rolled hat in your luggage, ideally in the center, surrounded by soft items like clothing to cushion it.
• Avoid Heavy Pressure: Do not place heavy items on top of the hat to prevent deformation.
5. Unroll Upon Arrival
Upon reaching your destination, unroll the hat and let it rest for a while to regain its natural shape.
Hat Care Tips
• Avoid Exposure to Moisture: Keep your hat dry. If it gets wet, blot excess moisture with a clean towel and let it air dry naturally.
• Reshape with Steam: If your hat develops creases, use a garment steamer to gently steam the affected areas, then reshape with your hands.
• Proper Storage: When not in use, store your hat in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight for extended periods.
